Stubbon Beardies Wont Eat Veggies

I have 2 roughly 5 week old beardies cant get them to eat veggies yet love there bloddy crickets but wont try anything else any ideas

Hi there

Put different coloured vegies in, cut them up really small. Reduce the amount crickets you are giving them and they will pick at the vegies during the day when there is nothing else to eat. Try a bit of green (they always eat the green first ), and add some bits of carrot. They will eventually eat more vegies than crickets as they get a few months old.

I wouldnt worry too much. Little beardies prefer live crix, roaches (small), they really start to get stuck into the vegies at about 12 months. Make sure you sprinkle some calcium over your crickets and make sure they get uv

give them cos lettuce in the morning and cickets at lunch and dinner.

Cos Lettuce has nothing but hydration for them.....same with iceberg,,,,try the hydro varieties..especially the red ones.

When i kept Beardies i could never get them to eat vegetables either, but they would gorge on clovers and dandelion flowers.

My male beardie wont eat veges, only mealworms and, if he's hungry enough, crickets, he also loves clover.
My female, eats veges,crix,mealies,woodies, but no clover. They all have their prefrences

What time of day is their first feed?

How many feeds per day...& roughly average how many live are they eating pr day?
