I know its been a while, But me and MoJo (Female eastern beardie) are still here and going good, Just had a change of jobs so haven't been on as much.
Anywho more to the point, MoJo who is approx a year old has decided that she will go onto brumation, I'm not sure if i should be letting her, coz i'm not sure if she is "fully grown", she has pretty big fat reserves and all but have read not to let them brumate unless they are adults. Not sure what age she will be considered an adult. Anyway if i shouldn't let her brumate how on earth do i stop her?? lol and if its ok to let her brumate, will i add a container of saw dust or something a little more "comfortable" for her to sleep in....
How long do i let her brumate?
should i wake to feed/water?
How long should i let her go with out food?
Thanks much guyz

NEVER wake a brumating dragon, they will wake up on their own if they need to eat or drink. Always supply day heating through out winter, just for less time, with maybe a 5 deg drop, so set thermostat at 20 - 25 deg (ambient not spot) for 4-5 hours, instead of 25-30 deg for 8 hours. Reptiles still often bask during winter.
