Hi, can anyone put a name to this baby bird please.
The dead bird was regurged by a local RBBS and I am just interested in knowing what they are eating here.

can you get a picture of the beak front on and from the top?
It kind of looks like a pidgeon to me, but im imagining it should be some type of water bird
Definetly a baby pigeon. Whether it's a rock dove (feral) pigeon, spotted turtle dove or a crested pigeon I do not know.
I'd go for spotted turtle dove.

Man, how can you tell what it is? It looks like a dodo bird from Ice Age to me! 39 Blue Tongue Skinks ranging from Kimberley Northerns, NT Northerns, VIC & NSW Easterns, and Lowland Blotchies.
well I dont know Nephs story but I work in trees so I come across them quite a bit! and I do have quite a likeing for birds
Thanks guys. cant get any more pics. It was at night and tossed it after taking two photos. There is this one as well.
Would this bird have fallen and been taken, or do they nest on the ground?
