Hey guys,
I've got an unused standard 4ft single layer glass aquarium for sale. It's bare glass on an untreated stand, no cracks in the glass. I'll let it go for $150. Open to other offers if you fancy your batering skills If ya need a pic (lets face it once you've seen one tank you've seen em all) pm me your email address - but in all honesty the best way to check a tank is to inspect it yourself. Thusly, you must be in Sydney somewhere if you have any intention of taking it
If you want pics and would like to come inspect it drop me a pm and we can arrange something.
Cheers!
Gaara.

Hi mate,
Not really up on aquariums, but what is a 'single layer' tank? Obviously its got one layer of glass, but I'm pretty sure all the tanks I've seen do....can you eloborate on how if differs to 'non single layer' tanks?
Also what sort of lids (if any) does it come with - and I assume no hood? Oh, and is it the type of tank thats got a fixed glass top section in the middle and you use 2 glass lids each side of it that use it as a lid rest.....
Thanks

Well, I should have been clearer - its standard thickness glass. My other axolotl tank has double-thick glass for extra reinforcement.
No hood; or lids (I hate glass lids) but it does have the fixed glass middle so you can add your own glass lids if you desire (or build a hood - lets face it, its not rocket surgery).

double-thick glass is laminated glass (2nd hand shop window glass) eg 10mm glass that is lamintated is two bits of 5mm glass with a lamintated film inbetween (it goes back into the kilm or whatever to get refired so it sticks togeater)
All the guys who make tanks and arnt dodgy dont use 2nd hand laminated glass.....

Most laminated glass is free , or they pay you to take it away buy the tone from building sites.........hence dodgy people making tanks out of it

lol well your opinion aside, its actually 10mm glass; with no laminated filament...Though my thick glassed tank isn't the one for sale.
So, if you're quite done with the chit chat in my sale thread..?
