|  | Subscriber | Join Date: Dec-04 Location: Somewhere near Brisbane | | | | Yes it is just a standard 240 volt so it can be wired directly into a plug, through a thermostat of course. You just wire it into a little junction box, preferably using heat resistant cable which I can supply with it.

It would comfortably heat an enclosure say 2 metres square, probably more but it's a hard question to answer because it can depend a great deal on outside ambient temperature etc. They give off a large amount of heat and must always be guarded with a wire cover.
I honestly don't know what they cost new nowadays. I haven't seen them for sale over here to be honest.
