Juv Green Tree Frogs

Hi Everyone

I have some Juv Green Tree Frogs for Sale.

There ages range form just morphed to about 3 weeks, they are feeding well on flies, crickets etc. The older ones have some exelent colours developing.
At the moment i am not willing to freight.

In Victoria a basic license is required to keep them.

$20 each, 5 for $80 or 10 for $140

I will post some pics soon.

Cheers

Mike

Hi

Hi Mike, The kids have wanted some GTF's for some time and I was wondering how big they would be at the moment? Are they easy to look after (what would we need?)

Do you have any pics. Any other info for someone who ahs never had frogs before would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Shane

G'Day Shane

GTF are easy to keep. the ones i have now are about the size of a 5 cent piece and are rowing fast, they will get to the size of a fist in about 2 years.

Its easyiest to keep them in a tank with a small ammount of water in the bottom (10-15cm), logs/brances can the nbe supplied fo them to climb on and hide behind, putting fake or real plants inside is a good idea as the greener the enclosure is the greener the frogs will turn. About 5 adult frogs can be kept in a standard 3 foot tank, however if selectin a tank specifically for frogs a tank with more height that length is better as it allows for more climbing room. As the frogs can climb the glass an appropiate cover must be provided, one made from fly wire is best as it allows for sufficent air circulation, glass covers block air circulation and valuable UV light.

The tank must be heated. This can be done by adding a heat lamp, a water heater or both. during the warmer months i have generally found that only a heater is required but during winter often a lamp should be added also. The frogs also need UV radiation therefore a UVA/UVB lamp shoul be provided.

The frogs should be fed 3-4 times a week and they will eat almost any moving insect including woodies, crickets, flies, moths, spiders and the accasional fuzzy mouse when they get bigger.

Thats everything i can think of at the moment, any more questions just ask.

Cheers Mike

At the size they are now a click clack would be ok providing they are kept warm enough and have access to UV. at this age they do go very quickly so you would probably need to look to upgrade from a clickclack (depending on size) after about a month.

Any previous experiences with how they manage?

Hi all,

We have flown in MGTF's, you need an import licence first & the seller needs an export licence ($20 each) easy to obtain through NP&W. That will take a few days to come through or you can call after you have applied & they will give you the import number. Aussie Express is the courier & it costs $60 for the flight....then you just pick them up from designated airport . Ours came in with no problems....it was an easy process....I would recommend it. Sometimes what you are after is only in another state.
