So i couldnt find a thread like this anywhere

but id love to hear your reptile horror stories... you know, the "i had my head stuck in the jaws of a 15ft killer anaconda" or "I woke up to find my pet python fluffy chowing down on my left leg"

and any pics would be great... the bloodier the better...

obviously if someones gecko has torn their nose off, it might be a bit graphic to put on a public forum

but otherwise, would love to hear a few stories of people with their hands in the wrong place at the wrong time

I have never had an overly bloody bite from anything... a few python bites here and there, a shingle that realy hurt though no blood (at least on the outside of my skin), though I was almost bitten on the face by a wild Mertons Water Monitor up in the territory years ago... freaked me out a little...

i keep hearing things about bites from shinglebacks and bluetongues and that hurting a whole bunch... but from what ive seen they dont look like they have any teeth?? (excuse naievity)

they have like plates, or something, but their jaws a SUPER strong! Go offer one your finger and you'll see what is meant ^_^

They have teeth, large molars at the back and small grabbing, pruning teeth on the front, their jaw pressure is immense.

Jason how lucky are you to survive to tell the tale of your near death experience. How did you manage to let a monitor get that close to your face. My baby ackie draws blood, I'll steer clear of adult large ones.

LOL no thankfully i did not succumb to that particular craze although im struggling to find the words to say "those pics are so kool" but without sounding well... a little unhinged

Well, I don't have any pics, and there was little, if any blood, but I have been bitten by the following:
1 blue tounge - adult
5 Lychas Mamoreus Obscurus scorpions, almost all at the same time.
2 Urodacus manicatus - barely noticed it, does't hurt at all!
1 juvi Phlogius sp. Black, only hurt a little bit.
It should be noted that most of these bites occured out of my own stupidity, so in short, don't handle scorpions too frequently, and do't get cocky

Result of touching the bitey end of my Scrubby .To date have taken a bite to hand ,elbow ,various fingers and oh a nip to the back of the neck .

yea id be more scared of getting bitten by a rat than a snake i think
dont think ive got the mustard to handle a scorpion though lol

ive only been bitten by my horse - sweet moses that hurts
oh and my new baby stimmie (is that what the kool people call them?? ) bit me at the shop the other day but if i hadnt actually seen him lunge at my face i wouldnt have known he did it lol
