Any tile u can use really. Preferablly something dark, and a little course so that the snake can move across it and help it when it sheds

I have a tile in my viv with a heat coil under it. It's just a floor tile we had left over from doing some flooring in our house. It's a light brown colour and seems to work just fine.

Slate will hold the heat quite well also if you are in the habit of turning your heat down or off at night.

We use tiles in both our enclosures. The Bluey's enclosure is heated through the glass base with a heat pad, the tiles help distribute the heat well and also reatin the heat. Our other enclosure is for our spotted python and we have a couple of tiles on the bottom. They hold the heat well from the heat lamp & also we dont need to use a heat pad underneath the enclosure. They also make cleaning time pretty easy as it's easier to clean tiles then it is to clean timber. If you are in Brissy I have some tiles to give away if you are interested.
