A different substrate

Hi all, i have been playing around a bit lately with different enclosure setups, and have come up with a good answer to the eternal "what should i use as substrate" question..

These guys are tough hard wearing and look real, but the best bit is they dont absorb smells and if they do get soiled all you have to do is take them out side hose them off and put them back in again.... DEAD EASY

some pics for your enjoyment

take care
Matt

For my dragons, I have started using grape leaves dried in the oven over the top of newspaper. Looks good, easy to clean and cheap. I want to get hold of some latex fake leaves to try for the snake cages.

Looks good but been there and done that. Being that the surface is very grainy a hard brush is needed to scrub off the turd and urea. Still recon BC all teh way.

They are... actually an off shoot of the company called universal habitats, dont buy them from the shops though you will get stung... Retail on the 2 x 2 is $100.00 and the 4 x 2 is $178.00

Well, in my case (and i suspect where Afro is concerned), BC is short for Bull Crap.

But i don't think that what Varanus meant.
