A good read

Picked up the book "Australian Snakes - A Natural History" by Richard Shine and are currently reading it. It is a very good book, not a species identification book but a very good discourse on the evolution and biology of australian snakes.

I highly recommend the book.

I got it at the last SA Herp Group meeting for $12. It was one of the last they had. HerpTrader has it for $33. IMHO $33 is still a great buy ( but $12 even better)

It was the price on offer, the herp group often has cheap books. I was going to buy it anyhow from HerpTrader but at the end of the meeting they announced the book and price so I grabbed one. I think there were two others as well but I think they were also sold.

I got my copy for $35 at my local book store, worth every cent, excellent book! You should be able to find it in one in Brisbane, I got mine in Angus and Robertson, if you don't want to wait.

i thought I'd better post on here and give Fuscus some credit for posting his recommendation for this book 12hrs in advance of my own half-asleep post (which I genuinely thought was original)-DAMN YOU FUSCUS...LMAO(still)

It looks like awesome reading, and when my vision improves, I can't wait to read it! LOL
