We've found a really great Vet! After a million phone calls on Monday morning to find a local who dealt with reptiles, we found one just down the road. We took one very sick Barbata there on Monday morning. He offered to keep her there and fill her up with vitamins and and do some tests etc but after a lengthy chat, we decided it was best to just put her out of her misery. He asked our permission to do a post mortem to see what her problem was. The fact he asked was good in itself. He also offered to do it free of charge so he could learn a bit more about them. He treated us the same as he would have a dog owner who had just been told their beloved pet was too far gone to save. I appreciated that alot. Within hours of getting home he phoned us to tell us she had intestinal worms. He told us where to go to get Panacur cheaper than what he sells it. Which is another high 5 for him. Obviously not in it for the $$$. And he is willing to show us how to worm our herps properly.
It turns out that he is the Vet who works at Redbank Plains on Wednesdays and would be the one sexing all our herps before sale. I'm so glad. he's a fantastic guy and I definately recommend him to anyone in the area.
His name is Scott, from Sinnamon Park Vet Surgery, Christies Homebase, Jindalee.

obviously you should recommend him to the clientele that you will be catering for in the near future.
