Most ackies don't get that big, only a few localities.
Ackies are a fair bit cheaper, saw some hatchies going for $100 the other day, gilleni still seem to be over $200. Of course, that can be a good thing if you breed them.
It depends on what you want really, if I could get them I'd get brevicauda instead of either of those.

ive got two pair of each both seem to be fairly easy to breed ridge tailed i find mine become very tame and easy to handle were the gillens a little bit les so but thats only with mine i personally would recomend the ridge tailed i find them to be a hardier moniter and for some reason have lost some gillens at around 7-8 months old for reasons unknown but both good value

Yea brevicaudia are small little guys. Their not so colourful either, or atleast the pics in my books show them as pretty plain.

Southern cross has accies for sale for $250 do u think that is too expencive?
