Hey guys, My stimmie has lost colour from around his snout and at times it even looks a little raw. At night he often comes out and is constantly rubbing his nose all around the edges of the door and the vents looking to get out. I think this is what is causing the wear around his mouth. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem?

If it were mites the snake would probably be found in its water bowl not trying to get out.
Steevo I think you're right, try to avoid using anything abrasive for the vents and if the glass is on the front like a lot of setups as a sliding door then see if you can have the inside door (where there will be an edge) rounded off so the snake can't do as much damage to itself.

thanks jordo and sparticus. Just had a look now and he is in his warm hide. the temps are definately not too high. I think I will attack the enclosure today and wear off all the abrasive edges.
thanks for your time
