| | Regular Member | | | | | youd spend 15k on an albino of a species worth $300-$400, but you wouldnt spend HALF of that on a species heralded as the most beautif, and easily most impressive python? i guess its personal taste right?!?! i just dont get the price jump due to the lack of melanin, i would love an albino too- but it should be as with fish; albanism with fish fetches 1.5 to 3 times the natural form price, NOT FORTY THREE TIMES THE PRICE ($15,000 divided by $350) |

Most of our Olives start feeding on Quails which are not easy for everyone to get hold of.,so we dont sell them until they are feeding well on rodents. |

Normal olives are far superior to any gtp imo, so I would guess I would prefer the albino olive over a gtp (i found the gtp to be so boring that I only kept it for 9 months). I wouldnt be so silly as to say my female olive is priceless, but I doubt I would sell it for anything less than $40K (only cost maybe $300). My male olive that died recently cost me more (in vet bills) than a gtp hatchie. High price does not always equate to quality. In regard to personality, I'd prefer a common beardie over any python, whilst I think the eastern snake neck turtle is the top of any herp list! Everyone has different tastes. I consider myself to be very lucky that my fav herps are all relatively inexpensive (unless they are sick).
I dont have any children other than my herps, but I'd say most parents would consider their kids to be far more valuable than say a house or fancy car, and perhaps many children "cost" as little as a cheap feed and bottle of wine - Go with what does it for you! |

Could probably get a rubber one to do that . l like to watch my pythons on the prowl all over looking for trouble [ or a rat ] | | | |
