Anyone Interested in SHared Diamond Breeding?

I'm resting my female Diamond this year but have a cooled & champing at the bit male ready to go - anyone interested in providing a female & coming to some arrangement in sharing any hatchies?

I've got an incubator ready to go as well.

I've included a pic of the male - although he's quite a bit bigger now.

Cheers
David

Wow that snake has great colour.

Do you have any pics of it at around 6 months of age?

Thanks everyone for the comments.

He's about doubled in size since the photo, I'll take some new ones in the next few days.

He's a very good male, gets on with the job right away lol. At the moment he's off his food & pacing all over his enclosure!

Cheers
David

You are very generous peter, I have moved from 6 months to 12 months and will never bring animals in for breeding loans.

Forgive my ignorance, but what diseases/parasites can snakes get that are that bad they require quarantining for 6-12mths? It seems a very long time. Is this based on experience or just being protective? I know of mites and worms but these are easily fixed aren't they? Or could the individuals being introduced be pre-treated?

Does anyone have a list of diseases that can be caught, what their implications are, how long they take to clear up, and how they are cleared up?

If you have to quarantine for 12 months then that makes breeding loans a very long term proposition.

it's like an arranged marriage between sub-adult pythons. you borrow them for a year and feed them up then breed them. you may as well just buy your own
