Some of which are immediately obvious as being there and some of which are insidious little buggies that take ages to show up. No list of the hows, whys and wherefores, but I imagine that a bit of researcing in the library will help with that.

Seems like these diseases can be cleared up relatively easily though.
I'm going to pick my Vet's brain tonight my 2 going for a general checkover. |

| | | | IBD and OPMV are viral diseases which can have an incubation of 6 months or more. They are highly infectious, and invariably fatal for infected snakes. If you carelessly or just unknowingly introduce this into your collection, you will witness an awful tragedy unfold. Thse diseases are NOT uncommon in Australia now, and you might have an infected snake for months before you are aware there's a problem, by which time it can spread thru your entire collection, contaminate cages, feeding implements, waterbowls etc.
Very serious diseases, and nothing to be casual about. Plenty of info on the web, although there still doesn't seem to be a lot known about them.
There is NO CURE...

Things like IBD and OPMV have been known to stay dorment for 12months before symptoms appear.
