He is posting WITHOUT the permission or knowledge of Aust Post. My recomendation is to buy from somewhere else.
For darwins try
http://www.snakesnt.com/ (You won't beat the price and free post but possiblity of animals being legally WC )
or
http://reptile.senet.com.au/price.html (I've had a lot at these guys setup, inpressive)

Yes, I recommend URS to, they do freight at discounted price to, and animals always arrive safely.

Darwins are great snakes, they get alot of bad press, re: aggression, but all mine are tame!

Good luck with your search.

If I were you, I'd dob the guy in. Probably not much you can do but for the sake of animal welfare, it's better than doing nothing.

God, I have heard of some not so successful trips reptiles have made courtesy of Qantas! Please, I do not intend to insult you if you are a hard working, responsible Australia Post worker but crap, have you seen the condition of some of your mail when it reaches you. I would feel like an absolute **** if you receive your 'package' looking very battered and very flat! As mentioned the legalities would have me biting my nails also not that i ever consider this form of transportation for animals ethical in any way.
Regards Rina

He is posting WITHOUT the permission or knowledge of Aust Post. For his parcel to reach you then it must not come to the attention of the staff. That means NO live animals stickers, NO "Live Reptiles, keep out of the sun" stickers and maybe even NO airholes.
Like Rina, I wouldn't even consider it and Simons idea isn't a bad one either.

As for SnakesNT I remember them doing this before, they are off the air for a few days then they come back. From the top of my head, juveniles, sub-adults and adult darwins were $150, $200 ($250?) $350 respectivly. Contact was via a mobile phone number. Is anyone able to post that number for doggyMick ?

I reckon that's a good decision Dobey, maybe if more people refused that kind of transportation he would have to clean up his act.

he told me 15 dollars i got excited then thought how can he do that ?my first thoughts were maybe he had a deal with an animal transport company or somthing
when he told me i almost dropped off the chair and verified it with him a few times to make sure it was for real .
No way i will be buying from him his were $185 for hatchies (no problem with the price just the frieght )
Thanks fuscus I am currently waiting for a reply to an email for $125 hatchies from up this way !

I did mine in ogling to.

seriously though. If you send it by express post there is a chance that someone like me will be called to the mail centre to catch it. I got my first childreni that way.
They also put all the packages in big bags. They get thrown around. they get other bags thrown on top and put into pallet cages at about 1 tonne each. If your snakes on the bottom.????????????????????
