Pythons that the same thing happened to a spotted python egg and they removed it from the clutch and decided to continue incubation seperatley just to see what happened. Apparently the embryo continued to grow and hatched on the same date as the rest of the clutch. Apparently the swelling was caused from excessive moisture absorption. I'm not sure this is even the same cause or if the same is relevant to beardie eggs, but thought you might find this interesting. Best of luck with your remaining eggs.

The eggs became a bit dry a few days into incubation, so we added water to the vermiculite and they swelled up again. I guess this could be the cause. None of the other eggs look as swollen, so hopefully they will all be ok.
Phoenix is in the laybox now, digging. I think she may be about to lay her second clutch.

One includes a Mexican Cantail (Agkistrodon bilineatus) that was born very prematurely. It resembles a pink worm with a massive head, big black dots where the eyes were forming, and little heart still beating.
I also have a photo and video footage of a Coastal Taipan (Oxyuranus scutellatus) that hatched inside out. I'll try and find some time to get them off the laptop and on to APS, as they are very interesting.
