I already have him eating out of my hand and he will even chase a piece of string or somthing like a that (when he is in a good mood) or just sit on your lap and chill. and he is only 6 months old!!
Once I have my new 4ft enclosure I am getting another one!!!

Beardies are UNREAL I have 20 of the cuties
IMO if this is your first herp, either just get 1 or get 2 females.
Beardies seem to be fine when kept on their own AND when kept in groups BUT you do have to be careful with 2 things.
a) if you have 2 boys, you have a 9 in 10 chance that they will fight somewhere along the line, and tend to get very stressed out just by the presense of another boy.
b) if you have a male and female, they should be kept in TWO SEPERATE enclosures until the female is approx 18-24mths, but which time she is big enough and healthy enough to handle being pregnant. Do not be fooled - even at a young age, beardies will breed, and if it doesn't kill your female at the time, it WILL shorten her life considerably if bred too young.
Females HAVE been known to fight amongst themselves, however it's never happened with mine.
They are GREAT pets!! Mine try to eat my nails because they have metallic paint on them that they think is food
Very placid beautiful lil things. I recommend them whole-heartedly

Currently only minor minor able to be kept in WA.
Obviously they are small SVL 149 mm, and have requirements that are similar to other beardeds.
I keep a trio in a 3ft fish tank. | | |
