Hi there, i have two beardies, they live in the same enclosure & have never been sexed. we saw them do something today we have never seen them do before.
we let them out and they circled each other puffing up their beards and flattening out their bodies like a flat plate angled toward each other. they circled each other and almost reasted their heads on each others back as they were whipping each other with tails.
as amusing as it was what is this behaviour telling me????

Separate them straight away before you come home to find beardies missing toes and tails.

Same as most of them, probing i think. I had mine sexed when they were babies but they were doing this sort of thing to each other when they were six weeks and we had to separate them.
I'm sure your's would be at a breeding age too.
AS for actually sexing them, i always get my vet to do it. I'm not confident in it and am terrified of hurting any of my animals or stuffing up. There are plenty of people on this site than can do it. Just not me.
Simone.

Lift up the tail and if you see 2 distinct bulges then it is a male, if there is only one large bulge then it is a female. This method isnt always 100% correct though.
