I was lucky enough the other night to catch my pygmy beardies 'getting down and with it'. Male head bopping, female playing hard to get, male grabbing female agressively (my misses yelled at him to let her go LOL), then getting on her back and very badly doing 'the deed'.
Unless her girl bits are in the middle of her back, it wasn't successful! 
My question is - is it likely he will keep it up (no pun intended) and/or do they know when they have been successful in their 'love making' and will he keep trying til he's satisfied?

After that first unsuccessful encounter they were housed together for a week, I don't believe any copulation was actually sighted during this time, but Phoenix has since laid a clutch of 23 eggs (20 fertile) so he must have figured it out eventually!
If your male is having a crack at it, that's half the battle  He's bound to get it right eventually
