Beardie Help

I have two beardies and have had there for bout a yr now. One of them has been hiding under the grass matting (substrate) for about week or two now. I take her out and go have a look in the enclosure about half an hour later and she is back under there. What could be wrong with her?

RE: Beardie Help

Is she being dominated by the other one, you will need to keep an eye on this and if so she will need to go into a seperate enclosure. If stressed out she will starve herself and die.

RE: Beardie Help

sounds like the other might be dominant, could they both be female? is the other larger?
anything look wrong with it? runny nose, funny breathing, wounds? is there a heatmat wheres its hiding? may be lack of visual security, is the cage "exposed" anywhere else for it to hide, among plants etc? mine all remain in veiw on branches, rarely hiding though hides are avail.
