I think it is the luck of the draw sometimes. When he was a baby he was light/brownish.

Well, anyway, my little one's 5 weeks and he has been dark grey the whole time with the lighter patches down the back that are now ringed with vivid orange(at this very second though it's more a bright yellow looking colour).
