I live in the south western most part of NSW on the murray river. The climate is dry and hot most of the time. I have an enclosure i built from an old cupboard and in measures .--6ft L -- 2ft W-- 2ft H--. I was wondering what the best type of python would be to get for this size enclosure. I will soon have a categorie 1 license which allows me to have these snakes http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/PDFs/reptile_licensing_outline.pdf
(plz note Class 1 license) Any info you guys post is sure to be helpful to me. Thanks |

It really depends on how much money you have to spend. All snakes vary in prices and if you get a hatchy it will obviously be a bit cheaper than an adult.

I'd go for a Morelia Bredli (Centralian Carpet Python). Should cost you no more than about $300 and have a great temperament and fairly easy to look after.
