BHP INFO

Hi All,
I am just after some differences of opinions. When do you put your BHP's together for mating?
Are there any visual signs that they want to go for it?

Any opinions are more than welcome?

RE: BHP INFO

Stick the male in with the female and you should see the male spurring and the female lifting her tail vent opn etc...some people already have gravid bhp's so i'd introduce the male to the female now...

RE: BHP INFO

Fay, try putting the females water bowl in the males enclosure. When i do this my male immediately starts spurring her bowl and doesnt stop for days.

RE: BHP INFO

I checked out Reptiles Australia, they say they start mating in August!
This is why I wanted different opinions, really nothing is just black and white eh? Plenty of shades of grey!

RE: BHP INFO

Hi Ricko,
Our female is too young, but our boy is the right age, our friend has a four year old girl, so he is over there! All looks good at the moment! They seem to be mating, here's hoping anyway as neither of them have been mated before, so it will be the blind leading the blind!
Nothing is guaranteed with animals!
