hi all,
I was cleaning tanks this morning, as usual I take the snakes outside and today I took a few pics.
Female first, followed by the male.
The male 'snifffed' after the female for quite some time and i caught some on video. Interesting behaviour, I think he is keen!
He then got very agitated, I think he saw a reflection in the camera because he was getting agro with it. possible? Has anyone tried mirrors to emulate another male?

He would not have seen the relection in the camera lens. Snakes eyes do not focus on objects like ours. They only really see movement. I would say it was you and the camera moving that he reacted too.
Due to their poor eyesight, the mirror idea just would not work. If you want a male to react just put the shed of another male in the cage with him. |
