Biting

Hey everyone. I have a 15 month of spotted that has a bit of a biting problem. I find her to be very placid as she never attempts to bite me. But it seems that everytime my house mate (former parter) handles her she tries to eat him. Damian usually has really warm skin could this be teh reason why? It could it be that she has assocatiated his smell with food or something she doesnt like. I should mention that I am the one that usually feeds her. Any ideas as to why she continues to attempt to eat him would be greatly appreciated. Also, last night while she was trying to eat him, we believe she left a tooth in him. Will this cause any problems for her or will it just grow back later?

Ideas:

He is bigger than her?
She doesn't like being handled?
It's the way he approaches her?
He smells funny?
He's uglier than you?
It's the way he holds her?
She senses his fear?
He looks like something she should be afraid of?

There's probably plenty of others too.

The tooth will pop out once it becomes infected without any trouble and the snake will grow a new one without any trouble.

Spotted pythons seem to be more prone to try eating ppl than other pythons, its a good thing they are so small. I dont think there really needs to be anything more than warmth and a living target to make them bite, mine has bitten me when i have just washed my hands so scent isnt always involved. There are things that will make them try to eat you such as having food scent on your hands such as rat or meat smell, making suden movements, even having a scent in the air, hand feeding the snake or just having a very hungry snake.
