we dont have the black soldier fly larvae, and that unfortunate because they're REALLY good. some people will try to sell you march fly larvae (maggots) but i wouldnt asume they have the same nutritional benefit.. as they feed them with rotting meat, the pheonix wors are fed a safe contaminant free dry food. they are genetically engineered to cope with this feed, and morph without wings, and have a fatter longer larval lifespan (or so i've read)

goodluck, if you find any please PM me.. im after them too..

Hermetia illuciens is definaltely in Australia, it is used by fish people to feed thier stock, unfortunatley, i'm not a member of the forum so i can't ask where they got stock from, the site is 'backyard aquaponics', if anyone is a member could they ask around?

what i ment is no one sells it commersially as a feeder. considering fishing enthusiats use them as bait? perhaps you or i, could buy some and breed them (with good foods) in order to create a feeder (mainly for my self lol)

im going to try bait shops, and ask if they can ship them in.. aparently they are a REAL hassle to look after, they smell and there REALLY small, so you need ALOT of them.. a little variation is always good tho..

why not become a member?
