Question blue toungue enclosure

hi guys . i hope to soon get a baby blue toungue lizard this year and i asked the pet shop i might be buying him/her from how big the enclosure has to be and they said four foot long and 2 foot wide. At the moment i have a smallish enclosure which is 90cm x 35cm. Is okay for him/her to live in for its whole life or should i keep him/her in there untill its bigger and get new enclosure? im not too sure seeing as this will be my first lizzard pet verry exiting . Please let me know if this is too small as i realy realy need to know thanks heaps bye.

Love - The enclosure you have will be fine for a short time...it will only last a few months though...

As an adult it will need a 4x2x2 - your Bluey will also need access to UV light in addition to it's heat light...

hey there. yeah i agree with Aslan - the small enclosure will be fine for a couple of months but you will need the bigger one soon. i had my 2 blueys in a 60 x 30cm enclosure when they were babies but they outgrew it really quickly ( i think i moved them into a 4ft x 2ft after about 3 months). So you could start your new little friend in the small one, and it will give you some time to get a bigger one.

We have a couple of baby blue tongues and every week or so we put them into a smallish plastic tub and put the out in the sun for 20 min or so (and we put a wire mesh cover over the top to stop local cats etc getting to them) anyway, this 20 min in the sun is supposedly equal to a week under their UV light. Of course they still have a UV light though, going outside is just a bit extra!
