RE: Bluey out already?

hey pugsly, nice pics,my bluies, cunninghams and waterdragons often bask over winter, not all of them but a few do quite often, ive also been watching a wild eastern bluiey thats hibernating in the backyard in compost pile(mainly lawn clippings.im from south of melbourne.it mostly comes out because the clippings get warm in the sun though, but i have seen it a couple of times basking on the lawn 30 metres away from cover.havnt seen him for a couple of weeks now though.

RE: Bluey out already?

I'm thinking my geckos should wake up soon, it's been getting close to 30C during the day and not dropping under 20C at night recently.

RE: re Bluey

Yep, I saw my turts out swimming last wekend. The EWD's are coming out regularly looking all black and a bluey was out on Sunday as well. I guess the local outdoor diamonds were enjoying it as well.

RE: re Bluey

i had to do a snake callout last week in frankston which turned out to be an eastern bluey, but i think it may have been disturbed from hibernation by nearby roadwork, or could have been an escapee..
still a bit cold here but the fruit trees are blossoming
great pics steve

Who's been brumating in the mud then

It's been a bit wet lately, poor thing must have got flooded.
Come out to dry off I reckon, to stop the belly rot.
