Boyd's photos

Here's a couple of photos I took of -aspidites- juvie Boyd's today... they're getting a little bit of colour in them now and almost starting to look like "real Boyd's"

That's a shame, Timmo. On the other hand, it gives you something to look forward to, I suppose. They're also my favourite dragon, but I could be a little biased :-)

I tried to follow the link, da_donkey, but you apparently have to be signed in to view whatever it was and I don't have an account there.

Nice, Mags! Lookin' good :-D

Yeah, doing my best to feed 'em up. The one in the first photo is a great eater, but the one in the second photo is substantially smaller and not a great feeder.

I think the first one will pack on some size quite quickly.... as for the second, I guess it depends on when it wants to eat again voluntarily. I'm currently assist-feeding the second one but hopefully it'll deign to start eating again voluntarily soon.

Oh yeh Boyds are rad! I will definately be adding them to the collection when I upgrade to Class 2 NSW. Why are they class 2 anyway? Are they hard to keep? I only know of 1 person who keeps them and haven't had a chance to ask him about them!

I have no idea why they're class 2 in NSW, Ewan, I'm in Queensland :-)

To be honest, I don't know if they'd be considered hard to keep as these are the first dragons I've ever really kept. They seem quite straight-forward to me, except for the one which doesn't want to eat of late.

Keep the humidity high, keep 'em feeding and keep their fluids up and it doesn't seem you can go too far wrong with them. They won't drink from standing water, so you need to work something out there. I just use a spray bottle through the ventilation holes in the enclosure and they jump onto the vents and drink from there.
