Boyds Pic

Hi All,
Hope you like this guy, my male boyds. Out from his winter sleep and ready for action! Not a great pic and hope to get some more pics soon but, very cool Aussie lizards.
Cheers

Hey Fishhead, Yeah i thought it was you but wasnt sure that wanted a pic of him.
Glad ya like him and that your little ones are growing.
They are pretty easy to sex when you know, I remember sending mine to DannyBrown when they were little, cause I thought one had a problem and he sexed them on sight - I couldnt tell em apart at that stage lol - Now i can pick em easy.
They should breed quite readily this season, she has had double-clutched before.
Cheers

How many eggs do you get from a clutch ad? I have heard there are two types of boyds so to speak, a highlands and a lowlands. Apparently one produces a lot more eggs per clutch than the other.

5 is the max Ive had Hugsta - 2003 - she had 3 this last season - so it is variable. They do double clutch quite readily and Id expect triple clutch easily too - Since having them outdoors it is harder for me to monitor their food intake so Ive just got to 'play it by ear'.
I don't think there are any highlands in captivity - but they are stunning animals! Smaller animals and different colour mix - more blue and lighter coloured yellow. They are shyer and more reclusive, being smaller I guess they would have smaller clutches, but in general boyds dont have many.
Cheers
