bredding crickets

crickets are very time consuming, but you have the time then thats ok,but woodies are much easier and less time consuming, all you need is a garbage bin somewhere to keep them warm some pine bark as substrate and a couple of containers of woodies to start the colony off,and leave them for awhile to give them achance to breed, giving them a container of dry dog kibble, and a couple slices of oranges in a seperate container, which you need to replace everday, and carrot.and there on there way the warmer the space they are kept in the quicker they grow and breed, and once they start you have a colony of woodies which you can feed off,and while they are breeding if you notice some dead adults in the bottom of the bin or the colny size seems to be dwindling you will have to replace them with a another tub of adults or meduim woodies,,when you aer starting off it would probaly be agood idea to buy a tub of large woodies and a couple of meduim tubs,..hope the info helps..

Definately go the Woodies - simple as. I chuck some carrots in with mine every few days and clean their tub every few weeks....keep them about 30*c and thats it...

Start off with more than a few tubs - a few hundred is your best bet...
