Breeding Records

First time breeding beardies in the season just finished, and to my amazement i incubated far more eggs than i was ever expecting. From all accounts from people i've been in contact with, its been unheard of. Having said that, there are far more experienced keepers than I, and i dont believe that numbers such as these below are a first. But am interested to hear peoples thoughts etc on any other breeding/clutch records or high achievers.

My situation unfolded breeding a 4yr old female cenral beardie to a 1yr old male. On their first meeting (27/8/07) copulation was witnessed......within only a few and only a few hours of them being together.

This one encounter ultimately lead to 5 clutches totalling 107 eggs in total.
Clutch 1- laid 20/9/07- 25 eggs (no slugs)- 100% hatch rate
Clutch 2- laid 20/10/07- 22 eggs (no slugs)- 100% hatch rate
Clutch 3- laid 16/11/07- 23 eggs (no slugs)-100% hatch rate
Clutch 4- laid 7/12/07- 17 eggs (no slugs)-100% hatch rate
Clutch 5- laid 11/1/08- 20 eggs (11 slugs)- 55% hatch rate

This is all from a 3 hr stint together!!!!

From what i had read previously and been told, expecting three clutches of around 20-25 was the norm.
Does anyone else have any unusual findings with any of their breeding historys?

i normally only got 2 or 3 clutches out of my 3 females, depends on how u feed them and heat them,if conditions are great and u put alot of food in the females they keep laying,i know of someone that got 9 straight clutches from a female, thats monthly clutches one after the other, takes a lot of of them though, plus i had 3 females all laying together plus 2 males living with them, and iff i got more clutches i would have gone mad, there certainly amazing animals inregards to reproduction,i still have memorys of having over 100 juvies to feed, every time i sold a heap and got my numbers down, the next 3 clutches hatched, ground hog day, lol,i miss them and my females are getting on in age now so might breed them thisseason to get a new generation happening, then retire them to pets,im trying to find a male eastern bearded dragon to breed with my young female, there so hard to find when u want one,lol

Yeah from what i'd read, so long as food is offered when they look for it and they can retain their condition, your looking at every 4 weeks. Though i have heard of multi clutching at 3 week intervals.

Anyone else got any interested breeding records to share?
