No pics but the mate keeps them on about an inch of sand with a heat cord and they thrive, easy set-up is easy as to clean. Awsome little fellas, full of character.

Cant sex till they pair off and pairs wont accept others, they will fight. Best bet is get a known pair if you can. Or get 3 juvies and feed them up just keep an eye on them once they mature an dseperate the one being picked on. Only get about 8inchs tip to tip.

Swimmers are one of the easiest of all herps to keep, I keep mine in a two by two foot, square tank. Heated by a heat mat under half. being what they are, it is nothing for them to "swim down" and sit on the mat. I have 10cm of sand in the center of the tank and 2cm around the edges, a few pieces of wood and a couple of small rocks form a pile in the middle (on top of the "hill") a small water dish is placed somewhere in the enclosure.
