Building an enclosure...

Hey guys,

i picked up a melamine box for cheap from the damaged goods section of Ikea (!) on the weekend, it measures 660 mm L X 350 mm W X 460 mm H. Is this sort of size going to be any good for an enclosure for a Stimson's or maybe a carpet? Im planning on putting some sliding glass doors on the front, not sure about lighting/heat yet. Any enclosure builders have some advice?

Cheers,

shaun

RE: Building an enclosure...

Would be ok for a stimmie or a hatchling carpet, Though the carpet would out grow it very fast.

350mm deep is a little to small for a snake.

Will be fine for a stimmie, or a childrens, even a blonde maccie (which are gorgeous). Lizards will be fine too. make sure there are no escape holes anywhere either. Good luck.

RE: Building an enclosure...

hi,
that size will be great for any hatchling snake, we have a few about that size and use them for any new hatchlings we buy, they like smaller cages to start with.......

regards,
steve........
