bulk foods for beardies

Hi All,
I was just wondering what would be a good bulk food for my beardies?Some people have said that it is good to give them pinkie mice and pinkie rats but others say that its not right.Only reply to this if you have a accurate answer to my question.

in bulk wise staple foods - woodies and/or crickets - pinkies are only good for a treat like once a month

depending on the age,veges and fruit should be always offered and crixs/woodies given 2-3 a day for young ones and every couple of days for adults.Pinkies should be given as a treat on occasions ie once a month or so not as a staple,but each to their own,that is my opinion,others may vary.I was told only give pinkies to adults or a good sized beardies.Good luck

I have known other beardie owners who breed their own crickets and roaches. Apparently it is really easy since they are vermon. And you can buy the odd rodent cheap enough if you really want to but by the sound of it there is not much point. When I get a beardie or two this is what I will do.
