Cage sizes

Just a general question on cage sizes....
When they recommend the size of cages eg a 4m snake should have a cage 2m by 1m by 1m is this a volume thing ?
Would a cage 1.8m by 1.5m by .75m also be suitable for a 4m snake as it contains the same volume if not larger volume ?

Yeah Pedro That should be fine......

Believe me I have seen smaller cages than that..... And that wil be enough for the snake to stretch out etc....

Is it a Coastal your putting in there????

I have 3 Coastals.... And they are in enclosures a bit smaller than that.....

Its just a hypothetical at the moment, considering for the future, I don't have anything approaching 4m yet!

isn't the sugested minimum something like length = 1/2 the snakes length and height and width = 1/4 snakes length. but i guess it depends on whether the snake is a grond or tree dweller etc

Yes they are the measurements I used in my example, I was wondering whether that volume would suffice in different measurements. I was thinking of a tree or ledge climber like a carpet or bredli python.
