Heres a pic of my thick tails tank on a feeding night, i remove the fake plants and other stuff so they can find the crickets easier.

No i only feed mine crickets, i did used to feed them mealworms occassionally but for months its just been crickets. That magnetic cave is the mdeium size exo terra get 3-4 full grown thicktails in there and they just all lay on top of each other, quite funny viewing them.

Ive got a male just on 18cms long but he has a very long tip on his tail (as per the pic) and he is the largest ive seen, has a fews centimetres on the girls he shares the tank with. I keep a trio in a 20inch x 12inch x 12inch tank and no problems. You actually dont want to big an enclosure otherwise they find it hard to catch crickets, they arent as fast as Oedura or Strophurus. I also feed mine every 2nd to 3rd day but this time of year they start to slow down and dont require feeding as much however they cant tolerate lower temps then most other geckos. If you can get hold of old Reptiles Australia mags there was a good article on them in Vol 3 Issue 4, if not then pm your email address and i will send you a copy (PDF) as scanned it and sent to someone in the USA who was interested in reading it.

Most can be positively sexed at between 6-12 months depending on the species.
