Candling Eggs

When you candle eggs what should you see if they are fertile? Veins?
I just did some gecko eggs, all i noticed was a red circle on each egg??

If they glow reddish as oppose to yellow they are probably fertile. You should be able to see veins in the egg.

They do have a red area, so fingers crossed they are fertile!!

depends how far along they are too.... sometimes you can see a greyish patch in there which is the embryo forming....

They are about 2 weeks old. How far along do they need to be to see the embryo?

In the weird & wonderful thread ..Miss B has posted a pic of a 3 week old beardie... the egg cracked early all others hatched at the right time... i think she said
its a great pic for showing what you can expect to see ...if the egg was clear that is ...lol
the little dot is the heart
