The first have already been used and the second litter were hoppers. I was going to freeze them today when I got up to find them eating the mother!
Has anyone else had this happen? Could they have killed her and eaten her or is it more likely she died and they started eating her. They were well fed and I don't have any idea what happened. Either way it was pretty gross (little rats looking at me with red eyes and blood spattered faces) so I think I might stick with buying frozen from the local pet shop.
Oh I forgot if there is anyone in the East Gippsland area who wants a free adult male rat PM me. The pet shop doesn't want him back and my darwin couldn't handle such a large meal. |

Kill the now, freeze them for at lease 6 weeks as you dont know what the mum die of, then feed em to your snakeys, **** happens, but you are still way better off breeding them yourself if you have 3 or more snakes, the savings are unbelievable.

Do they get a taste for blood and turn into murderous mice and start killing live siblings?
Sounds scary. . .psycho mice :S
Too much effort breeding them, i like them dead and frozen
Speaking of mice. . .a wild one just ran under my dish washer ! First mouse we've had | |
