I can safely say thats it is a very nice, striped carpet python.
Sorry, can't be more specific than that.

'Cape york Carpet' is a term that's often loosely used...
to describe just about any carpet in the north;
that's not a jungle....or remotely resembles a coastal.
However usually refers to dry country morphs found throughout dryer area's of the north west...
They can vary quite considerably from one a local to another.
Some specimens do display vivid earthen colours (oranges etc) as often seen in Darwins.
There are few captive lines of Cape york carpets very similar in appearance to your animal;
shop around and find a C.Y who's parent's display similar traits as yours....a very nice animal.

Smile re Cape

Looks like some that are doing the traps Kratos,they mostly look like cheyni and darwins to a degree,its a big big place cape york penninsular and there is different forms or species,the most notable and nicest looking is the type from iron range.Suspect from several high quality slides ive seen ,that it is the New Guinea species,like a brightly colored NW carpet i was surprised,thought they would be like a cheyni living in a rainforrest type enviroment.
