Craig breeds the T+ caramels, there are other lines of caramels around, but atm i'd definatley say craigs are the best on the market.

Dark Angel, make sure you find the heritage of the animals you get as the ones Craig sells are the only true T+ caramels around, so anyone else breeding them must have originally got there animals from Craig or Gabby. There are some people selling normal childrens as caramels when they are not true T+ animals and are just cashing in on the name.

Craigs are T+ as it's his line, it doens't mean there aren't other "caramels" out there, i'm quite certain there are others working with the colour atm. That aren't T+ but are still of similar colouring. Although Craigs are the only ones around just because it's not a T+ it can still be a "caramel" if yuo can make sense of that, btu Craigs are the best around atm.

T+ stands for tyrosinase + (an amino acid ). The caramels that expansa 1 sell are a genetic mutation that follows the same patterns as an Albino mutation.

The other caramels that Snow eludes to are not like this (don't carry this mutation) but simply caramel in colour. Breeding these will give you great variation in a clutch as this type of colouring does not follow the same mendellian ratios!

For example (Craigs line) caramel*caramel will give you 100% caramels carrying this mutation.

Those who are expecting to get pairs of these animals will be sorely dissapointed. There is very rarely males available from this line. Your best bet is to get hets.

Females i've seen from around the $500 mark!

Paragraph 2 will explain the mutation to you!

As Hazzard has said, these are T+ albino caramels, not ones that just look like caramels. You would have to have lines that originated from Craig Lattas to have T+ Caramals as they are a form of albinism and are genetically proven.

Females will set you back $500 and a male will cost you heaps if you can find one.

Here is a couple of pis of my pair. They become patternless as they get older.

Cheers
Daz
