carpet size?

Hey,

I have a 4yr old coastal carpet about 1.3m. Ive seen other peoples snakes that are probably double the length of mine and they wer only 2-3 yrs old. Just wondering how long it takes for a carpet to reach is max size and if my snake is really small for his age?

cheers

A lot of variables there paeleo. How you feed and how much, size of enclosure, type of coastal, but 1.3 does seem a little small got any photo's or more info

You probly need to feed him a size up from what his eating now because the slit under his head must get stretched and if it dont get stretched the python wont be able to grow the way it should be growing. So i would feed it 1 size up from what its feeding on. if it wont take it i would get the mice or rat his eating now and rub it on the size up from it so the sent goes onto the bigger mice or rat and it will take it as if it was the smaller rat or mice.......... Give it a try
