I've got some spare ceramic globes but they are the screw in (bayonet) type and would like to put them into standard light fittings.

I think they only come in ES. You can buy ES to bayonet adaptors from the herp shop, the only problem is the heater will hang quite low and you may need to have quite a deep light cage.

I've always wanted to know the answer to this, I've seen some people also mount the ceramic base onto a separate piece of wood and then secure to the roof of the enclosure, for added insulation i guess, they would get pretty hot.
