ceramic heater fittings?

i live in the wollongong area and tried two of me local pet stores to grab a ceramic fitting for me heating, you know the $5 os $6 one advertised on some web sites. the first place tried to sell one to me for 26.45 .
the second place i tried was askin' 25.50 :roll: or if i wanted it complete with a cord 58.10
any one know where in the gong i can get some at a realistic price??

Marty i know what its like with prices,and the reptile barn stocked just what you want but they burnt down.You probably could shop interstate or overseas sites like most suckers in NSW have to do or maybe go into electrical store like lawrence hanson and by the ceramic ends and make them up.Dont worry i was looking for plug in dimmer and i know herp shop has them but am frustrated at the fact i cant get one that i kow about in NSW.I reckon the supply shortage in NSW ofsuitable and realisticly priced products is a result of the pet industry being held back from selling reptiles in shops and its very unfair.

can get them including the cord for $19 bucks at Campbelltown, i think the ceramic part is only about 5 in some pet shops round here.

Marty all the Wollongong pet shops are a rip off. Sometimes i have no choice but to buy from some of them, but most of the time i buy from the Herp Shop. Brian sends out the stuff pretty quick.

There is a shop in Wollongong that sells electrical goods(mainly for electricians but you can shop there) and they sell the ceramic fittings for about $9. I've forgotten the name of the shop but can find out if you want.

Price is one thing but you have to watch the quality as well. Price and quality don't necessarily go hand in hand in pet stores OR electrical wholesalers. This is why I stick with the Herp Shop, good prices, good quality and run by one of the countries best herpers, FOR herpers. Can't go wrong with that combination
