Is your childrens python a hatchie - a click clack would have been better - it's a small enclosure for a adult Childrens - Do you have photos?

not a real suitable enclosure for a snake! they are hard to maintain the right temp range
in with all that glass

Take it back , get a refund and get a wooden one , Darren might be able to sort one out for you ..
It will be to small long term and terrible for holding any heat in .
just my opinion ....

That's funny they are breeders and should know better - I guess it comes down to the money - Take it back if you can or exchange it for light globes, etc - Ever Brett (DickyKnee) or myself can build you a nice enclosure to house your snake for life.

Or buy a click clack from Bunnings $6.00 and exchange the glass one for a heat mat and thermostat.

As Auzlizardking said, get a click clack for it, that's a more appropriate size for a hatchy.

I disagree with what many have said in this thread though. That size enclosure is not necessarily too small for adult childreni. I have two adults, both around 60cm (4-5 & 6yo), and an enclosure of the dimensions you described would be adequate.

I also disagree that the glass is by default bad. I know many think this but I don't necessarily agree. I would be providing heat with a heat mat for childreni, as opposed to globes. Heat retention would be much more of an issue if you were using globes, however. Provide it with adequate hiding spots and a heat mat (on a thermostat!) and it'd be fine.
