| | | Concrete inside enclosure
I'm thinking about making fake rocks, rock pool for drinking, and perhaps some walls out of concrete in an inside enclosure.
my questions are will the concrete need to be sealed? and what with?
will it be toxic? and what types of paint could you use to make it look a little more natural?
Thank
Peter

hey there,
you can use bondcrete (available at bunnings) either when you mix your concrete, or you can paint it on afterwards.
with most of the concrete sealers you just have to scrub and clean the concrete after it has dried and cured properly, and then it will be fine for the animals. the likes of bunnings will have heaps of different products for sealing concrete, just check the label about washing and cleaning etc.
i am building a big olive enclosure and am going to try a bit of mock rocking in it soon hopefully, so let us know how you go when you try!
