Cooling For Winter

Hey all, I know there's probably been a thousand threads on this topic in the past, but there's a heap of Newbies on APS this year (myself included) and it's coming around to that time of year again so I thought a refresher thread for people to post there ideas on how, when, where, an if not why of cooling down for winter. Feeding, not feeding, heating, lighting and what to do if it's too hot where you live to even be able to do it.

having a sticky beak as i will be cooling a couple of my pairs this year... although the temp in my house has dropped dramatically and so even the heat globes aren't heating tanks enough... and the bigger snakes have gone of their food and gone into cooling phase already
