Craig's Critters!

Hi Guys,

This thread should probably be in the trading feedback forum but it's locked and I couldnt be bothered sending it to an admin first lol. Just thought I'd give a bit of feedback about Craig's Critters. I rang Craig up on Thursday and had a chat to him about his Central Netteds and what an awesome guy he is! He was sooooo helpful with everything and put up with me asking my usual 50 thousand bazillion questions lol. I told him I was after a pair of Central Netteds and he actually went home to get his camera so he could take photos of the exact animals he was going to send to me. I got about 4 emails full of pics that night and after another good chat on the phone I have ended up with 5 of the most gorgeous Central Netteds! They are so beautiful, I couldn't be happier

He had told me on the phone that the female he was planning on sending me was most likely gravid (which is bloody awesome lol) and if he waited to receive my payment she might lay before he gets it, which would mean that the eggs would have to stay with him cos they would probably die on the train ride over...so he agreed to send me the dragons before he got payment! So now we might be getting eggs soon when I wasn't expecting any for a few years yet . Oh and he was about half the price of everywhere else I've seen. The little guys were sent down on a train from Wangaratta (about 3 hours away) and packaged beautifully and he threw some vermiculite in too incase we get eggs soon!

I'm pretty sure he ships animals interstate too so if you're interested just ask him...he's really easy to talk to and very willing to help in any way. I'm already drooling over the flavs he's just got in and I haven't seen them yet lol.

This is one of my males...now all I need is 5 names lol

Sorry it's so long lol

RE: Re: Craig

Hate to put a dampener on things Zoe as you're obviously rapt, but that lizard doesn't look like it's holding much condition. Nice colours though.

its alittle boney but not to bad...some good feeding will fix that...however the legs have a good storage of fat so its not that far gone, and it looks like a male which would be normal this time of year...mating season and all that....takes it out of the poor buggers...lol

thanx guys

sherm the boys are about 15cm SVL but they girls are only about 10cm...got long tails tho

does anyone know if it's possible that a gravid female might be quite flighty? she has been really active and bolted on me when i got her out before but all the others are quite calm...is it just a coincidence or could it be related?

Zo just pick her up and feel her stomach, if shes gravid you will feel the eggs.

couldn't hold her still enuf to feel anything stoive lol. she ran FAST i had to kinda cup her in my hand to stop her from getting away...again

how far along before you start feeling eggs tho? craig was about 80% sure she's gravid and thought she'd lay within about 2 weeks if she is

I'm not sure with netteds but most dragons become really obvious about a week out from laying.
